Canaba, Hugh

Dr. Hugh Canaba is an equally obnoxious and brilliant molecular biologist.

Originally working in Jackson's Hole for Baron Fel, he was extracted, at his own request, by Admiral Naismith and brought to Barrayar, where he assumed the name Dr. Vaughn Weddell.

His accomplishments include:

• Creation of Super Soldiers including Sergeant Taura.
• Study of the "Telepathic" gene.
• Discovery of the bioengineered apoptotic prokaryote which caused the failure of ImpSec chief Illyan‘s eidetic memory chip.
