====== Graf, Leo ======

Leo Graf was an engineer working for [[..:organisations:galactech|GalacTech]] and specializing in testing and failure analysis. During his eighteen year career with the company he gained a very high reputation and helped a number of accident investigations come to a successful close. During at least one of these investigations Leo was responsible for the discovery of fraudulent inspection records which had resulted in the deaths of eighty-six people. 

In the later years of his career he spent a fair amount of time teaching and it was such an assignment which took him to [[..:places:cay_habitat|Cay Habitat]]. 

Discovering that [[..:organisations:galactech|GalacTech]] wanted to abandon the [[quaddies|Quaddies]] it had created, he created a plan to get the [[quaddies|Quaddies]] out of the reach of [[..:organisations:galactech|GalacTech]] and to safety. 

With the help of Dr. Minchenko, a jump pilot called Ti and the 1000 [[quaddies|Quaddies]], Leo arranged for the Cay Habitat personnel to be isolated and deported. They captured a jump ship, a super-carrier, and attached the restructured Cay Habitat to it so that it could move and, more importantly, jump through a [[..:misc:wormhole|wormhole]]. Most astonishingly of all, he created a replacement vortex mirror for the carrier's [[..:equipment:necklin_drive|necklin drive]] using only the most basic of tools. 

With the repaired and restructured habitat/jump-ship they escaped into the Orient IV system. 

Nothing more is known of Leo Graf, with the exception that the [[quaddies|Quaddies]] did find a new home out of reach of [[..:organisations:galactech|GalacTech]].
